Choosing a censorship mode
How the six modes differ and when to use each.
CensorFlow offers six modes with different coverage and visual character. The right choice depends on how much concealment the footage needs and the style you want.
- Soft face blur — natural, medium coverage; good default for public-space footage
- Strong face blur — heavier coverage when stronger identity protection is required
- Face pixelation — editorial and broadcast-style redaction
- Eye bar — lighter, stylistic treatment
- Privacy bar — familiar editorial look
- Solid face mask — maximum visual concealment
Stronger modes conceal more but change the look of the footage more. Preview on a representative section before processing a long clip.
